Craft: Illustrator CC was used for this assignment as well as a bamboo tablet and pen. First I looked for a picture of a coffee cup and uploaded it in Illustrator. After that I created several layers for the background, the saucer and the cup. I used the pen tool to make the lines and the water mark tool to grab the exact colors that was used in the original picture.
Concept: There is no real concept towards this picture, it was an assignment in which the main point was to learn how to draw a picture that derived from a photo.
Composition: When I look at this picture my focus is on the detail in the actual cup, first I look at the background, more specifically where it has more shadow. From there I move to the saucer and then I focus on the detail of the cup.
